4boards demo weekend for me ...

sunny, light NE ... rigged up demo kit (Hyper-X 130 & 8.0m GTX, Hyper-X 115 & 7.0m GTX ... opted not to rig the 7.5m, 6.5m 6.0m GTX's though) ... then seeing it was looking like lightwind planing conditions as the tide rose above the fin magnet sand banks I rigged my 8.5m GTX & Manta 75.

Sent OMWC host out on the 130 / 8.0m and he was planing on & off ... no other punters so went out on the Manta to keep the host company on the water for 20 mins. Planing okay but plenty of time not planing too. Back to beach, more demo 'work' ... shorty hung up to dry.

Pretty much worked my shifts on / off water so once suit dried it was time to go again. Was formula weather all day, but still managed to blast by a couple before they sussed out that if the went upwind they could lose me as I was marginal on a 8.5m / 115 ltr slalom board combo. Clocked 19.9 knts on the gps so easy to see it wasn't that windy.

Tried the wireless camera out and seemed pretty good, just need to tweak the angles it points ... got some great footage of the wake off back of my board on one tack, and of people i was overtaking on the other tack

Greg & DanB popped along to say hi, cool to meet ya ... DanB slid over from his skate/boxer combo to enjoy blasting about on the Hyper-X115 / 7.0m GTX, Greg was less fortunate as the wind died just as he got wet.

As it turned out, sunday was less windy, as forecast, but still got a couple of the OMWC crew on the water, before canning it around 3pm so I could get home for BBQ at neighbours and score brownie points for next 'pass'

RichC, spoke to Rob earlier, was telling me about his swim to rescue the carve ... salvage rights were noted by RNLI so we may see Rob on a big board soon
